Beginning from the Banyan Tree Park, saunter down the main streets filled with shops selling local souvenirs, apparel, and food. Oh la la, could this be the liveliest area of our journey? And for the sweet and sour lovers, do stop at the Maui Pineapple Store to try the cutest pineapple ice, a treat that promises a fun ride of taste and textures. π
π΄ LΔhainΔ Banyan Court
This expedition brings us to the world's largest banyan tree, spreading majestically across 1.94 acres (the length of a city block), standing over 60 feet high, and featuring 16 enticing trunks. It appears to be many different trees, but in reality, it's just one tree. How's that for a saucy twist, huh? And whispering sweet nothings all day are hundreds of mynas that call it home.π³
Oh, and the cherry on top is the annual lighting event held in early December where 6500 holiday lights transform the tree into a spectacle, as mesmerizing as a slow dance under the night sky. Get ready to sparkle! π«
