Los Angeles time-honored Claypot rice | Baliting herbal tea stew
In Los Angeles, I only eat their claypot rice. I often drive there with my family after work, call the boss in advance to order what we want, and just sit down and eat, as their claypot rice takes a while to prepare, at least 20-30 minutes. I recommend calling ahead to order, or if you arrive first, order a bowl of stewed soup 🥣 to start.
This time I went around 7pm, and the place was completely full. I waited about ⏰20 minutes before being seated. The shop is located under a big tree on the side of the street, with mostly local residents and elderly customers. But it gets busier with younger people after work, as everyone seems to want a bowl of claypot rice 77. Every time I go there, I feel like I'm back in China. The lighting in the shop is very bright, the air conditioning on the walls is a bit old, and there are little flies circling around the lights. It's a very immersive experience. And the food is absolutely delicious.
[Mushroom and Chicken Claypot Rice] I always want to try something different, but in the end I always come back to their signature chicken claypot rice. The chicken 🐓 is so tender and juicy, not dry at all, and paired with their secret sauce, it's super appetizing and delicious. As someone who loves spicy food, I asked the boss for extra chili sauce, which I poured on top - I could easily eat two big bowls of rice.

[Herbal Stewed Black Chicken] The herbal flavors are so strong, and by the end you can really taste the bitterness of the herbs. It's super nourishing.
🌟[Old Chicken and Burdock Root Stew] This is another soup I love. Burdock root is nutritious and good for skin and anti-cancer, and stewed with old chicken, it's so good for you.
They also have small dishes and various cooling herbal teas, and you really can't go wrong with anything you order.
