How is BioAstin produced?
We have grown premium Hawaiian Spirulina for over 16 years at our 80 acre Kona, Hawaii facility.
We produce BioAstin from another microalgae grown under rigorous quality control using our patent-pending closed culture system.
This algae is used to seed fifteen 500,000 gallon systems. Each batch is analyzed and scrutinized for quality prior to being extracted in oil for the final product. The final product is HPLC standardized for guaranteed potency.

BioAstin supplies an exceptionally powerful antioxidant called astaxanthin (Asta-zan-thin). Although similar to the better-known antioxidant beta-carotene, slight differences in the structure of astaxanthin cause radical differences in activity.
Astaxanthin is ten times stronger than beta carotene and up to 500 times stronger than vitamin E as an antioxidant. Unique aspects of the astaxanthin structure allow it to pass the "blood brain barrier", meaning it can deliver antioxidant benefits directly to the brain and central nervous system.

How It WorksAstaxanthin, the active component in BioAstin, appears to assist the muscle function by reducing free radical damage during heavy exercise, thus allowing the muscles to use oxygen more efficiently and recover quickly. Perhaps the most vigorous endurance feat in the animal world is the migration up raging rivers by salmon. Salmon accumulate astaxanthin in their muscles, which explains their red-orange color.
Scientists suspect this accumulation may be more than cosmetic, enhancing metabolism and allowing such an athletic undertaking. More clinical work is needed to establish the mechanisms of this fabulous product but you can start enjoying the effect immediately.
