Why have there been changes made to Oral Nutrient Chelates, such as making the tablet smaller?
Oral Nutrient Chelates is one of our older formulas. We recently made changes to the product to enhance its effectiveness for our customers. The tablet sized was reduced, as we had many customers who requested a smaller, easier to swallow tablet. Additionally, the source of calcium changed from calcium chloride to calcium phosphate. This change was made to both improve our production of the product (calcium chloride was damaging the tablets) and improve its effectiveness.
In researching a replacement for calcium chloride we found that calcium phosphate is also an excellent acidifying nutrient that does not cause the same difficulties in producing the tablets. There are various forms of calcium phosphate (mono, di and tri). Mono-calcium phosphate has the most acidifying properties - therefore, this form was selected for Oral Nutrient Chelates.
We are very confident that our customers will appreciate the smaller tablet size, in a product with improved acidifying ability to support a healthy acid-alkaline balance.
