🎈Koko Crater Viewpoint at Koko Head Park Rd, Hawaii‼️✨
🎈The Koko Crater is located in the Koko Head District Park on the east coast of Oahu. It is a dormant volcano that last erupted over thirty thousand years ago. As there haven't been any volcanic activities for many years, the entire surface of the volcano is covered with vegetation.
💫The Crater Stairs Trail was built during World War II. Following the rail tracks all the way up, there are a total of 1,050 rail track steps. The further you go, the steeper it gets, with some hikers using both their hands and feet. The scenery at the top is boundless and sublime... extremely worth the hike! Moreover, the ocean water looks like sapphire, if one must describe the feeling, it can only be described as: Marvelous!
✨Difficulty Level: Medium to High
⏰Hiking Round Trip Time: Approximately 1.5 - 2 hours
It takes about 25 minutes to get from Waikiki to the Koko Crater Trail.
📍Address: Koko Head Park Road, Honolulu.
💫If you're driving, once you arrive, you'll see a blue signpost saying "KOKO HEAD DISTRICT PARK". Drive slowly along this road, and you'll find a small parking lot on your left. Continue forward, and you'll see the second, larger parking lot. We suggest choosing this parking lot because it's closer to the trail entrance. After getting out of your vehicle, just walk along Koko Head Park Rd for a few minutes, and you will arrive at the trail entrance. Don't worry about getting lost, because there will definitely be more people hiking there besides you.
