Exploring the Bay Area✌️ Picked a place with the most beautiful donuts in the Bay Area‼️
👉Shop: Bun Appetit
📍Address: 37120 Fremont Blvd Unit A Fremont CA 94536 United States
Finally checked out this legendary donut shop in the Bay Area known for its aesthetics. As someone with a sweet tooth, I usually can't handle the amount of sugar in American desserts, except for French pastries. I've always disliked American donuts and cupcakes. However, I can confirm that the sugar coating on the donuts here isn't too thick, so they're not overly sweet like traditional American donuts. Each donut is delicately crafted and adorable!
👉They have two categories of donuts: Ring Donut, the classic ring shape, and Filled Donuts, which are rounded and puffed. Both types have creamy fillings.
🌟Tiramisu
This is my favorite flavor!
It's not overly sweet. The ring donut is filled with mascarpone cream, and the surface is sprinkled with Verve brand coffee powder and cocoa powder. Both powders aren't very sweet, which perfectly balances the sweetness of the donut itself. The donuts here are made with Brioche dough, which is fragrant and soft, giving a satisfying experience.
🌟Matcha Cream
The Matcha Cream donut is a filled donut, with the dough filled with matcha cream. When you take a bite, the filling flows out and is very enticing. The matcha flavor is good, and the sweetness is acceptable. However, because the surface is coated in sugar, it's slightly sweeter than the Tiramisu donut.
🌟Injelomi
This one is very unique, with a soybean flavor that's quite Asian.
The donut has a ring-shaped dough filled with soybean cream and some mochi pieces. The surface is sprinkled with soybean powder and caramelized almond slices. The mochi pieces are a bit firm, not like the soft Korean rice cakes but similar to the ones found in packaged snacks. This donut has the highest level of sweetness among the three, and the soybean flavor is quite distinct.
🌟Summary
Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this donut shop. It's the closest I've found in the Bay Area to Asian flavors, and they have a wide selection.
