Autumn arrives swiftly and leaves just as quickly, never waiting for us to catch up. Halloween is right around the corner on October 31st, and I've been involved in a whirlwind of preparations for about two weeks now. Only once you start decorating a single-family home do you realize how vital it is to stock up on items. For example, two garland strands are nowhere near enough, grouping three pumpkins together still looks small, and placing four or five lights around the yard still feels sparse. The principle of decorating a yard appears to be purchase items in dozens.
-I highly recommend Lowe's mushroom lights. They're seasonally apt, because autumn is the season when mushrooms are harvested in succession. If you can't forage for the desired matsutake mushrooms, simply arrange a few solar mushroom lamps. These mushroom lights are cheap and beautiful, and a box of three costs only $28.99. Moreover, they're made of glass, and they create an impression of oil painting; utterly beautiful. I advise buying 3-4 boxes at a time. I only bought two boxes, and the effect in the yard still doesn't feel as cozy. These things look warm only when they are viewed in clusters.
-The autumn season is at its peak, seize the moment and don't miss it.
