English translation: LA GINGER TIGER EAST 🌈 A Must-Try BBQ in K-Town 😋
Despite the many negative reviews I read before coming, I was pleasantly surprised! Reasonable prices, fresh dishes, and a truly fantastic ambiance!
✅ Beef Combo
We ordered the beef combo because it was more affordable, with a serving of snowflake beef priced at only $60.
✅ Snowflake Beef
This was the main attraction! Incredibly fresh! The meat was incredibly juicy, with more fat marbling compared to other cuts. The slices were thick, resulting in a better texture. Once grilled to medium heat, it was perfect. Absolutely delicious! I couldn't resist taking a bite and it just burst with flavor in my mouth! A definite must-try!
✅ Fatty Beef
Very fresh, no hint of gaminess, and not at all tough. After grilling, I dipped it into the slightly runny egg mixture on the side. The combination of the meat's aroma and the creamy egg was incredible! The egg mixture had a hint of saltiness, and even when eaten by itself, it was absolutely delicious.
✅ Seasoned Beef
Compared to the previous two cuts, this one had less fat. However, the advantage was that it didn't have the strong soy sauce flavor I've encountered before. It seemed that the seasoning only consisted of pepper and salt, allowing the natural beef flavor to shine through.
✅ Fatty Beef Soup
Delicious! It was packed with ingredients, including bean sprouts, tofu, and cucumber, all nicely seasoned. This one surprised me because it didn't have the heavy fermented bean paste flavor that I've tasted before. The tangy and spicy flavors complemented the dish perfectly. It's a great option to refresh your palate while enjoying the BBQ!
✅ Raw Pork Belly
This is not included in the beef combo, but since I love pork, I specifically ordered it separately.
The portion was quite generous, and it was incredibly flavorful! The natural taste of pork, due to its texture, is even more aromatic than beef. It wasn't fishy at all. Once fully cooked, the outer layer became wonderfully crispy while the remaining fat added richness to the meat. Each bite was a delight.
✅ Lunch Box
Ordering this is like watching a little performance. The waiter brings over an iron lunch box that contains pre-packaged Korean mixed rice and side dishes. They shake it in front of you and voila, perfectly mixed Korean rice! But for me, the taste was average. It's a good option for those who enjoy staple dishes.
✅ Steamed Egg
A must-try for steamed egg lovers! The texture is exceptionally smooth, and the addition of salt enhances its savory flavor!
🎀 The service is truly outstanding, comparable to Hai Di Lao. The highlight is that you don't have to do anything yourself! From the moment you enter, all the side dishes and condiments are top-notch. The food is served promptly, and different waiters take turns helping with grilling and cutting the meat. Here, you can simply relax and enjoy your meal!
✅ If you park directly in front of the restaurant, there is a $10 fee for the entire Plaza entrance.
I absolutely love the ambiance of this restaurant! The lighting, decor, and cleanliness are all excellent. They play popular K-pop music, making it the perfect place to enjoy some drinks with friends!
