Those beautiful fairy tales have a truly therapeutic effect. Located on Highway 1 in California, the Danish-style wonderland town is a stopover on my journey from the Bay to southern Ghana. Danish people settled here and over the past century, they have transformed this town into a Danish paradise - a place that is exquisite and romantic.
Solvang is not large in size, and its scenic spots are concentrated. There are many places suitable for photography and exploring. However, as long as you park your car in the parking lot, walking around won't be too tiring. You can visit the streets and alleys of the entire town, explore the exquisite shops, art galleries, and the quaint little parks.
📍Copenhagen Dr, Solvang
On either side of Copenhagen Street are fairy-tale-like small houses. In the summer, the streets are filled with colorful flowers and trees in full bloom. Walking on the street feels like being in a scenic landscape. At a crossroads, you can see a windmill.
📍Solvang Windmill
It is one of the historical landmarks among the numerous windmills that can be visited.
📍Elverhej Museum of History & Art 1624 Elverhoy Way, Solvang
Many museums in the town are in Danish style and display numerous Danish artworks. You can also see kitchens and bedrooms of Danish families from over a hundred years ago. In a small garden, you'll find an abundance of beautiful flowers.
