Traveling in Taiwan, the High Speed Rail is incredibly convenient and fast 🚝
🚄 If you are traveling in western Taiwan, taking the High Speed Rail is absolutely the fastest and most convenient. Starting in Taipei Nangang and ending in Kaohsiung Zuoying, the route is quite simple, either you're going north or south.
🚄 Arriving at Taipei Nangang High Speed Rail station, you scan the paper ticket (or the QR code from the mobile App) to enter. There's no security check, no real-name system, which suddenly gives you a lot of extra time. I was supposed to catch the 10:50 train and had a seat booked, but because I arrived early, I hopped on an earlier train, chose the "free seating" car, and relaxed if there is a seat available!
🚄 The High Speed Rail is very clean, and the seating space is large. Inside the High Speed Rail stations, there are convenience stores, specialty stores, coffee shops, restaurants, etc., you can find everything.
🚄 I also saw super cute limited-edition heart-shaped tickets jointly issued by Kanahebi and Taiwan High Speed Rail, which can be purchased on-site or pre-ordered online. There are also discounts for early bird tickets.
🚄 It seems you can only take regular trains to the east, but the train is also excellent, you can see a lot of wonderful scenery.
