One of the most famous New Year parades in the United States: the Pasadena Rose Parade has a history of over 130 years! This year marks the 134th edition!
Living in Southern California is so fortunate, with countless celebrations and fun things to do! Today, January 2nd, is our Pasadena's most famous New Year's Rose Parade. It is one of the largest parades of its kind in the world and has a history of over 130 years, with this year being the 134th edition!
This is my fifth time attending the Pasadena Rose Parade. It takes place just a short distance from my doorstep on the streets. I make sure to watch it every year, except for one year during the pandemic when it didn't happen. For almost a century, there has been a New Year's parade, and many people come from Northern California to see it. Some even spend the night on the streets, either sleeping on lawn chairs or in their cars to secure a good spot.
