Calling all beginners, there are plenty of green trails, perfect for novices to practice! No need to repeat loops as you would at other ski resorts. The green trails coming down from the Americanflyer in the middle area have many slopes at the level of blue routes elsewhere, don't start with these. Begin with the green trails on the west side, they are much more friendly. Moreover, there are fewer people on the west side than in the middle green trails. The only issue is that the Lumberjack lift on the west side is extremely slow (which is why there are fewer people on its linked ski trails, it's very suitable for novices to practice their skills without fear of being hit), for those with less patience, I suggest the Woodward Express instead.
As for opening hours, most lifts start at 9 am and run until 4 pm. However, after 3 pm, the sunlight begins to fade and the visibility is not that good. If you buy a Fastpass, you can take the American Eagle lift at 8:30 am.
For ticket purchases and hotel reservations, handle it all on the Copper Mountain official website! If you don't have an Ikon pass, there are accommodation packages that come with discounted ski tickets, they are about 40% off!
Regarding Fastpass, even at the start of the ski season, you don't need to buy a Fastpass even on weekends. You can get on the longer lift lines within five minutes using the single riders queue.
For transportation, if you're coming from Denver airport, buy a ticket for Summit Express, and you'll arrive at Copper Mountain in just over two hours. You can walk around the small village once you're staying there, there's no need to rent a car.
