The best ramen in San Diego is indisputable! MENYA ULTRA is an old internet-famous shop in San Diego! When you visit, you must eat here without any hesitation!
The first store opened in 1994 in Akita Prefecture, Japan, and has been popular locally for some time, winning many ramen awards. In America, business is booming, and there are always long queues at meal times!
Upon arrival, you can see several people waiting for seats. We waited for about an hour, or you can join the waitlist on Yelp in advance!
Their ramen is very fresh with a chewy texture. They say it's made by hand daily, with flour imported from Japan. The broth is very creamy and fragrant!
🌟 Spicy Miso Ramen:
I chose mild spice, topped with a heap of green onions. Even for someone who doesn't usually eat green onions, this is not a problem; in fact, it seems quite aromatic. Everyone gives this ramen five stars! The broth is rich and layered, making every mouthful of ramen a delicious encounter. When you think about it, you'll want to eat it again, so you must order it!
🌟 Tonkotsu Chashu Ramen:
A rich, pork-bone broth flavor. The broth is lighter overall compared to the spicy miso ramen, so it's perfect for those who enjoy drinking ramen broth.
🌟 Neqi Pon Fried Japanese-style fried chicken:
Tender and juicy, seasoned with sweet soy sauce and black pepper. This combination for fried chicken pieces is quite unique and fresh!
⚠️This Japanese ramen chain is only available in San Diego and has a total of 3 branches. We went to the Clairemont branch, where parking is convenient.
