Birthplace of the Singapore Sling Cocktail - Long Bar in Singapore 🍸
Long Bar can be said to be a must-visit hotspot in Singapore. Located on the second floor of the iconic Raffles Hotel, it not only has a long history but is also the unique birthplace of the world-famous Singapore Sling cocktail. The first Singapore Sling was created here!
✨ Must-try:
👉 The most famous signature drink is the Raffles 1915 Gin Sling.
Made with gin as its base, mixed with pineapple juice, lemon juice, grenadine syrup, etc. The drink is garnished with pineapple and small fruit skewers on the rim of the glass. It tastes sour and sweet, overall, it's a fruity and slightly sweet pink cocktail, perfect for ladies (but beware, it can be a bit strong!)
The menu also offers other versions of the Singapore Sling to try, such as the Sakura Sling and Vintage Sling. Each table also receives complimentary peanuts. It was a tradition at Long Bar to throw peanut shells on the floor, but due to the current situation, they are now placed in plates on the table.
The overall ambiance has a distinctive Southeast Asian vibe, with ceiling fans adding to the atmosphere. It's a great place to hang out with friends, have a drink, and chat! The interior and the surroundings are also great for taking photos.
