On our first day in Penang, we visited this must-visit food street!
To be honest, there are too many food options in Penang to choose from!
📍New Lane Street Foodstalls
🌟Charcoal Fried Kway Teow
(Many people are queuing up for this dish and you have to wait after ordering, but if you like a strong flavor, you will enjoy it.)
🌟Chee Cheong Fun
(This is my personal favorite, with a thick shrimp paste mixed with chili sauce and sweet sauce! It's a unique flavor that can only be found in Penang!)
🌟Braised Pork
(It's also known as Five Spice where I come from, and this has been a famous dish for 40 years.)
🌟Satay (Chicken, Pork, Beef, and Pig Intestines)
(This time I ordered grilled pig intestines, which is really delicious and tender. I feel like going back for more!)
🌟Oyster Omelette
(I didn't quite like this, as it was too wet for my taste, but there were many fresh oysters in it.)
🌟Pie Tee
(This is also highly recommended, paired with spicy and sour sauce. It's very appetizing and you should eat it quickly, or the outer layer will become soft.)
