Shangri-La is the capital of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. It borders Lijiang in the southeast (just cross the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain), connects with Daocheng in the northeast, is adjacent to Nujiang in the southwest, and connects with Tibet in the northwest.

✅ Tiger Leaping Gorge
It is one of the deepest canyons in China. The Jinsha River flows through here, becoming turbulent and magnificent as it is surrounded by the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain. During the rainy season from May to September each year, the river rises rapidly, creating a spectacular sight.
✅ Haba Snow Mountain Observatory
Haba Snow Mountain and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain face each other across the Jinsha River. It is the highest peak in Shangri-La and one of the "best summits to climb" in China, suitable for entry-level mountaineering.
✅ Baishuitai
China's version of "Cotton Castle," with blue springs flowing through naturally formed calcium terraces. Bring a drone for a stunning aerial view.
✅ Pudacuo National Park
The first national park on the Chinese mainland, "Pudacuo" means "a lake where all beings reach the ideal shore." Above the mountains are rows of green trees, and below are mirror-like lakes and grassy meadows filled with yaks and horses. It is recommended to visit from June to August.
✅ Songzanlin Monastery

✅ Dukezong Ancient Town
Known as the "Moonlight City built on stone," it still retains the largest and highest prayer wheel in the world, and you can walk three laps clockwise around it.

Napa Lake is not really a lake, but a seasonal plateau lake with the largest grassland in Shangri-La. It has tranquil lakes and majestic mountains, horses and lambs, making it a great location for taking photos in Tibetan clothing, especially with cute little lambs.

Meili Snow Mountain is very close to Shangri-La. The main peak, Kawagebo Peak, has a "pyramid" shape, and there are thirteen peaks in total.
