Taking a meeting in Dallas, I took out an entire day to explore the city and was pleasantly surprised. I really love the warm winters here.
🌈Reunion Tower
This is a landmark building with an outdoor observatory where you can see the most beautiful night view of Dallas. I recommend going before sunset; it feels really cozy to watch the sun set in the warm breeze on top of the Reunion Tower.

🌈Thanksgiving Square
This church has a spiral glass roof, it’s a must-visit spot that opens every day from 9am to 4pm. It's quite small inside—just grab a quick picture and you can head out.
🌈Giant Eye Ball
This is a popular attraction! It's not far from the church and is within walking distance. It's a privately owned installation, so you can only appreciate it from behind the fence, but it doesn't affect the viewing experience because it's really huge!
🌈John F.Kennedy Memorial Plaza
This is a memorial plaza for President Kennedy. I’m not particularly interested or knowledgeable about that period of history, so I just made a quick stop.
🌈Bishop Art District
Highly recommended! A very artistic district filled with nice shops, picturesque spots, and lots of delicious restaurants. I had an unexpectedly great time exploring and eating there in the afternoon!
With only one day, I visited two restaurants:
1⃣Terry's Black BBQ
📍3025 Main St. 75226
This famous BBQ joint is near the Reunion Tower and as expected, quite delicious! We tried different meats, and I favor the Turkey and Jalapeno Cheese Sausage. The Beef Brisket is flavorful but a bit tough, so I didn’t like it. The meat is sold by weight, an ordering method I found interesting, being a country person... For side dish, I chose green beans, to balance out the rich meats.
2⃣Veracruz Cafe
📍408 N Bishop Ave #107 75208
This Mexican restaurant is in the Art District. I picked it randomly but it turned out to be really good! As soon as we sat down, they brought out a big pot of nachos, enough for four people to share. I’ve never seen such a generous restaurant in Toronto. The salsa tastes freshly made, going perfectly with the warm nachos, we quickly ate half the pot. For the main course, I ordered fish taco—the fish was especially fresh. The sides were rice and black bean puree, more than enough for one person.
