Go to the vibrant summer 🧡 farmers market over the weekend 🚗
Churchill Square has events from late May to June 4th, with lots of fun activities including colorful giant bubbles that look really cool. Many people take pictures there. I saw an advertisement for this farmers market there. Previously, I thought the building was lifeless, but it turns out there really is a market inside. I'm not sure if it's only available in the summer.
🌟 The inside is very bright, not as lively as Whyte Ave, but still a great place to explore. It's spacious with two floors. Upstairs, there are not only stalls but also many tables and chairs where you can sit and eat. They even have tabletop curling!
🌟 There are many plants for sale, and vegetable seedlings are quite cheap. The usual items include various local fresh vegetables and fruits, nuts, dried fruits, bread, meat, homemade cheese, and even pet food.
🌟 They also have indigenous handicrafts and artwork. Many vendors set up stalls here, selling coffee, ice cream, bakery items, and pies, which are all very popular.
🌟 I saw a booth from a local gelato shop called Little Bear 5, and I bought a lemon-flavored one. It was sour and refreshing. Wafflo also has a booth, and I saw many people lining up.
🌟 On the second floor, there are a lot of second-hand, vintage, and locally designed clothing. Most of the items are locally made and handcrafted.
They even have massages available!
There is also live music playing, like a cello performance that created a great atmosphere! It's a great place for a weekend date, to take the kids, or just to stroll around!
