Koi Palace: The Must-Try Tea Restaurant for Morning Dim Sum in Daly City!
Located in Daly City, not far from San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf, Koi Palace is a spacious and bustling tea restaurant, renowned for its delectable range of breakfast options. With a capacity to accommodate large groups like ours, we opted for a comfortable private dining room.
Here's what we ordered:
😋Shanghai Soup Dumplings: We ordered two baskets of these authentic delicacies. The dumpling skins were thin, filled with flavorful ingredients, and accompanied by a rich and savory soup.
😋Pan-Fried Soup Dumplings: These dumplings are filled with delicious soup. The taste is not overpowering, but rather balanced and satisfying. It reminded me of the breakfast shops in Shanghai, showcasing the expertise of a genuine Shanghai culinary experience. These pan-fried dumplings from the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai region are distinct from those found in Guangdong.
😋Original Lobster Dumplings: If you have a larger group, I highly recommend trying this creative dish. It features a plate of deep-fried lobster meat with shells intact, accompanied by eight delectable lobster dumplings. The flavor is excellent, and the portion size is generous. The preserved egg and lean pork congee is an excellent choice for breakfast! It's quite rare to find dishes with preserved eggs in American restaurants. With the number of people dining inside, Koi Palace gives the impression of being an outstanding establishment. The other dishes I tried were also delicious! However, as I haven't had the opportunity to try truly authentic Cantonese cuisine in China, I won't comment on its authenticity. According to my friends from Guangdong, the taste of Cantonese cuisine at Koi Palace is indeed genuine!
