📍Ticket Location: In the Vieux-Port de Marseille, on the left side, there's a boat company named LeBateau with several ticket windows selling boat tickets from Marseille to Île d'If and Frioul islands.
📍Boat Company Address: 1 Quai de la Fraternité, 13001 Marseille, France.
We queued up around 10:30 am and got the 2:35 pm boat tickets (there was a big queue). The round trip cost was 11 Euros per person. The boarding location was not far from the ticket office. Arrive fifteen minutes early. The entire trip to Île d'If takes approximately twenty minutes. Please refer to the real-time large screen at the ticket office for specific available boat times.
Upon docking at Île d'If, you can see the tri-colored jelly sea. Walk up the stone stairs, and you will reach the Château d'If. EU students can enter for free by showing their student cards. Admission for adults is 6 Euros.
Château d'If is not large, mainly consisting of yellow brick walls. It is famous worldwide as a location in Dumas' famous novel, "The Count of Monte Cristo". This fortress, known for incarcerating famous people, has now become a well-known tourist attraction in the Mediterranean.
