After spending so many years here, I have yet to visit the Chinese district of downtown Los Angeles. But this time, I gathered a small group of friends to go together and capture some photos! The district was established in 1938 by the previous generations and has since been a preferred destination for Chinese immigrants. Here, you can find many things from our hometown and evoke a deep sense of nostalgia.
The most distinctive building on the west side is now home to mostly older individuals, since the younger generation has moved to nearby cities. Most of the martial arts clubs and associations are also empty shells, and many stores have closed due to the impact of the pandemic. Despite this, tourists still flock to the area.
