Challenge America's most dangerous hike 🧡 Trail-Angel's Landing
📍Location: Zion National Park, Angel's Landing
Trail difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
💦Scenery: breathtaking mountain views, waterfalls, wildlife, 3D-surrounded cliffs and precipices
Equipment: strong recommendations for hiking shoes, as some parts of the trail are steep. Hiking poles are also strongly recommended to ease knee pressure when walking downhill. Wear comfortable and durable pants. If you're afraid of heights, there are several parts during the descent where you can slide down while sitting.
⚠️Attention:
💦Angel's Landing requires a permit!!! You can apply to get a permit in advance a few days before the hike or on apps like AllTrails to team up with others. We also welcome you to team up with others in the comments section. One permit can take up to 6 people.
💦It's getting hotter day by day, so bring enough water and energy bars. Be sure to protect your arms and necks from the sunburn (it hurts)! It's actually safe when there are fewer people and it's not winter. However, when there are many people, it's easy to get crowded since it’s the same trail for both ascent and descent. Stand steady and grip tightly to avoid problems.
⏰Time: 4/15 9 am (permit start time)
🏨Accommodation: We stayed in an Airbnb in LaVerkin. Hurricane is also an option. It's cheap and about a 20 minutes’ drive from Zion, with scenic views along the way. If you don't want to bother, staying in Springdale is very convenient and there are shuttles available.
💰Tickets: We bought the National Park's Annual Pass S80 in Zion. With so many national parks in California, you can go to a few at random to get your money's worth, and you can even have a second holder.
