The Lantern Festival in Los Angeles is so much fun!
Last night, we found out about the Lantern Festival event and decided to check it out~
★Upon entering, the place was packed, and we had to park on the street outside the park and walk in.
★There were activities throughout the day, including Shaolin Temple martial arts, face-changing, magic, acrobatics, dragon and lion dances, and many more. We had to run around to catch all the shows, the schedule was so full haha!
★In addition to performances, there were many interactive activities, such as traditional paper cutting, calligraphy, and to my surprise, there was even a stall with an auntie who could translate English names into Chinese.
★There were also parent-child activities where kids could listen to stories, play games, and receive red envelopes. Food trucks were serving pan-fried buns, red bean buns, and five-spice fried noodles, but we didn't get a chance to taste them as we were busy with the games.
★If you have time, visit the Chinese Garden, it's truly beautiful at sunset!
★The event lasts for one more day, with ethnic dances featured on Saturday, and Kunqu Opera on Sunday. If you're unsure about weekend plans, join in quickly! Remember to book your tickets in advance.
