Guide to Kaohsiung Ruifeng Night Market, Taiwan 💥 Don't miss the super food recommendations!
There are 2⃣ night markets in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. ✅ One is Liuhe Night Market, which has become a tourist attraction like the City God Temple in Shanghai. ✅ The other one is Ruifeng Night Market, which is mainly visited by locals. I didn't hesitate to go to the latter.
Ruifeng Night Market ⏰ opens at 6:00 pm, so don't arrive too early. If you're going with a group of friends, don't split up, as you'll need their stomachs to help you share the delicious food, allowing you to try more varieties!
💥 Taiwanese food portions are huge and made with absolutely sincere ingredients. Be prepared with some digestive tablets just in case. 100 RMB is enough for two people to be extremely full.
😋 Angel Fried Chicken
This has the longest line in Ruifeng Night Market. The fried chicken is enormous, about half the size of a young chicken. To ensure its natural flavor and juiciness, they won't cut it into pieces. Holding the whole piece is wonderfully satisfying. Instead of breadcrumbs, it is coated in homemade batter. I believe it's worth waiting in line to try.
😋 Spicy Duck Blood
The duck blood is fresh, comes in large pieces, and the soup is delicious. You can add glass noodles or noodles. It's similar to duck blood tofu soup, but the amount of duck blood is huge! If you love duck blood, you must try this!
😋 Donggua Lemon Tea
Traditional Taiwanese donggua (winter melon) tea combined with refreshing lemon tea, the two flavors blend together yet maintain a distinctive layering, making it especially refreshing. 4 Octopus Feet Skewers
I thought the picture was deceiving, maybe just squid tentacles instead, but it really is sliced gigantic octopus feet skewered. The meat is tender, delicious, and very elastic. It's only 15 RMB, which brings tears of joy to my eyes.
😋 Ancient Flavor Stinky Tofu
A combination of kimchi and stinky tofu gives a rich and layered taste. The stinky tofu is deep-fried and then cut, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. This is the best stinky tofu I've ever had!
😋 Glutinous Rice Balls
These are not mochi, but similar to mochi. They're fried, and nothing like it on the mainland. Absolutely chewy and delicious! Octopus Big Balls
Most of the octopus balls I've eaten are filled with batter, but Taiwanese night market big balls are truly stuffed with octopus, shrimp, and various ingredients. The giant ball is as big as a lion's head.
😋 Taiwanese Steak, Oyster Omelette, Cheese Skewers
There's not much to say about these; they're all signature dishes, all delicious, and all taste the same no matter which stall you choose.
