Shanghai Cuisine 📍 Michelin One-Star 🌟 388 Yuan for a Large Hairy Crab 🦀
🦀 As autumn arrives, it's time to indulge in the delicious hairy crabs. Cheng Long Xing, which has received a Michelin One-Star rating for three consecutive years, is a must-visit.
🦀 When it comes to crabs, I only eat female crabs. At Cheng Long Xing, they offer 388 Yuan for a 3-tael female hairy crab in early autumn. It may not be cheap, but it's definitely worth it. The owner of Cheng Long Xing started his business with hairy crabs in the early 1990s and even supplies crabs to Xin Rong Ji now. I don't think any other place can be more reliable than Cheng Long Xing when it comes to hairy crabs.
🦀 Most importantly, they also provide crab dissection service, which is a blessing for lazy people like me. I'm not the type of person who can spend half an hour on just one tiny hairy crab, and I don't consider struggling with crab meat as a form of sophistication or enjoyment.
🦀【Crab Paste with Silver Skin】
This is Cheng Long Xing's signature dish, with the silver skin made from mung beans. Other places also have this dish, but they are usually oily and greasy. Cheng Long Xing's version is completely different - golden and shiny, yet refreshing and flavorful. It's a dish that shows their culinary skills.
🦀【Crab Meat and Crab Paste Fried Rice】
It's full of wok fragrance, with golden and fluffy rice, each bite complemented by the sweet and fresh crab meat and crab paste. There is no hint of any fishiness, and the aroma of green onions adds an extra touch.
A satisfying meal, and I will definitely come back again.
