Welcome to New Leaf Montessori!
Aside from the traditional Montessori education that includes practical life, sensorial, math, language, and cultural studies (science, geography, art, and more), our program also includes animal care, gardening, foreign language, and more. The Montessori methodology encourages independence at any age and works to cultivate the curiosity of children through child-directed learning. We ensure that children feel empowered in their academics, develop their social and behavioral skills, build their self-confidence, and meet their highest potential in all aspects of their development. Our program was designed with the whole child in mind, and we aim to ultimately create the foundation for tomorrow's leaders. We recommend children begin our program no later than age 3 (the earlier the better) so that they fully benefit from our rich program and learn to read before kindergarten.
Our Mission
At New Leaf Montessori, we believe every child is gifted and it is our responsibility to provide a rich and challenging environment where each child is able to reach his/her full potential emotionally, socially, educationally and physically. Our approach is based in the Montessori methodology in which children have a choice in the direction of their learning. It is the teacher’s responsibility to guide the child’s learning at a level that works for him or her. This individualized approach allows a child to learn at his/her own pace and ability. Activities are broken down in stages appropriate to each child’s level of understanding.
We are committed to providing a place that supports our children’s self motivation, independence and a strong sense of responsibility toward self and society, as well as cultivating a sense of high self worth and accomplishment. In our care, your child will become an educated and passionate individual open to new ideas and will gain the tools necessary for problem-solving and decision-making.
Our Director
Vaji Goudarzi has over 30 years experience as a Montessori-trained teacher and holds a Bachelor’s degree in child development as well as a Master’s degree in clinical psychology. She loves children.
